3. Veronica Moncho Lobo: A graduate from Parsons, with stints at Donna Karan and Catherine Malandrino, Argentinian designer Veronica Moncho Lobo launched her eponymous womenswear label in 2008. The keys to her success? Bold colours, plenty of femininity and a focus on dresses. Expect lots of dynamism combined with strong patterns and simple cuts - once more, this was a designer whose pieces I could see (well, would love to have) in my wardrobe. One of the items that caught my eye was the shocking pink coat (named Jackie, below) - a very clean-cut design that still stands because of its fantastic shade.
